What's the difference between a PWA and a cross-platform app?
A PWA is a website that behaves like an app — users can add it to their home screen, it works offline, and it sends push notifications. It doesn't go through the App Store or Play Store. A cross-platform app (Expo + React Native) is a real native app distributed through the stores, with full access to device hardware like the camera, GPS, and Bluetooth. PWAs are cheaper and faster to launch; native apps are better when you need deep device integration.
Can my app work without internet access?
Yes. Every app we build can cache data locally and function offline when needed — critical for areas with poor connectivity like many parts of rural South Africa. Data syncs automatically when the connection is restored.
How do in-app purchases and payments work?
We integrate your own payment processor (Paystack, Stripe, or Flutterwave) directly into the app. You keep control over fees — typically around 2% per transaction instead of Apple or Google's standard 15–30%. You get paid into your own bank account, not through an intermediary.
What happens after the app is built?
We hand over the full source code — you own it completely. We also offer ongoing maintenance plans that cover bug fixes, OS updates, and new features as your business grows. You're never locked in.
